Behind every journey, there’s more than just the riders. We’re proud to be supported by people and brands who believe in the road we’ve chosen. Their trust and support allow us to push further, ride longer and share the stories that come with it.

We don’t take that for granted – and we carry it with us on every ride.

Tyres (and oil) — probably the most debated topic in the motorcycle world. For a long time, our answer was simple: black and round will do. But the more we rode, the more we realised there’s no such thing as a universal choice. It all depends on the bike, the terrain and the kind of riding you do. We tested a lot of options along the way. And when we finally tried Motoz on our heavier bikes – BMW 1200 GSA and BMW F800 GS – it just clicked. They gave us the confidence we were looking for, both on and off the road. Since then, Motoz has been our go-to tyre, no matter where or what we ride. We’re proud to have Motoz as part of the ADV Hoppers journey.

When it comes to hard panniers, it’s easy to go straight for big brands and big price tags. But sometimes, the best gear comes from smaller companies that focus on what really matters. APDURO cases are exactly that. Simple, solid and built to take a beating – properly tested by Joris in real riding conditions. They’ve proven to be durable, practical and ready for the kind of trips where things don’t always go as planned. They offer plenty of space, come in different sizes and fit standard racks, which makes them an easy choice for any setup. Reliable, no-nonsense gear that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Not every bike comes with heated grips. And not every aftermarket solution actually solves the problem. After a bit of searching, we came across Coolride – and their simple, slightly different approach just made sense. Instead of replacing the grips, their system heats from the inside. Clean, effective and exactly what we were looking for. And since Agata tends to switch the heating on as soon as the temperature drops below 20°C… this quickly became an essential part of our setup. If you’re curious how it works in real use, you’ll find a short review in our Gear section.

Some gear just stays with you. Joris had been riding with Wolfman Luggage long before we met — trusting it on trips where reliability actually matters. At the same time, Agata was quietly dreaming about a Wolfman Enduro Tank Bag back in 2014, while getting ready for West Africa. One of those things that stick in your mind… until they finally become part of your setup. Today, Wolfman Luggage is still with us on every ADV Hoppers ride. While the brand has moved away from large-scale production and now focuses on smaller, niche projects, the gear we use has proven itself over years of real travel – across bikes, continents and conditions. It’s not always easy to get your hands on anymore. But once you do… it tends to stay with you.

Size matters. Especially when you’re trying to travel light but still want to be prepared when things go wrong – like a puncture in the middle of nowhere. That’s where Eastbound comes in. We carry their Tyre Pro set – ultra-compact, lightweight and cleverly designed. A modular aluminium system that combines axle nut spanners, tyre levers and spoons into one clean setup. It takes minimal space, but does exactly what you need when it matters. And if you’re not fixing a flat… you can always use the spoons for ice cream. (Tested. Approved.) If you like smart, no-nonsense gear, Eastbound is definitely worth a look before your next adventure.

When it comes to gearing up for the road, having the right place makes all the difference. Moto Adventure Store (in Belgium) is where you go when you’re looking for quality – the kind of brands and gear you can actually rely on out there. But what really sets them apart is the people behind it. Friendly, flexible and always ready to help, even when things aren’t exactly standard. And if your sizing falls somewhere outside the usual charts… they’ll still find a way.

Since day one, Ullmax Poland has been keeping us warm – no matter the activity. From long motorcycle rides to skiing, sailing, trekking or even skydiving, their merino base layers have been part of our setup in all kinds of conditions. Because when temperatures drop, having reliable thermal layers isn’t a luxury – it’s essential. Soft, comfortable and built for real use, Ullmax delivers exactly what you need to stay warm (yes… including your butt 😉). High quality, reasonable price and gear that actually gets used – that’s why it’s been with us from the start.

Staying warm is one thing. Staying cool in the heat? That’s a different challenge. For a long time, we struggled to find base layers that actually work in hot conditions – until we came across ADV Inside (and especially their Breeze collection). Light, breathable and designed with real riding in mind, it’s the kind of gear that makes a difference on long, hot days. But there’s more to it. Everything is made in Poland and designed by a passionate rider – for riders who know exactly what they need on the road. Simple, functional and created with purpose.

Women Only Nepal Trip Last Day: Going Home Anothe Women Only Nepal Trip
Last Day: Going Home

Another early start - our adventure wan’t done yet, but it was time to head home.
We left for the airport before sunrise, and even there, Nepal gave us one last gift - the Annapurna Range, glowing softly in the morning light, visible right from the runway.

The lovely lady at the check-in desk must’ve known we weren’t ready to say goodbye just yet - she gave us the best seats on the plane, with the mountains stretching below us for the whole flight. Watching those snow-covered peaks slide by… it was pure magic.

Back in Kathmandu, we returned to the Manaslu Hotel, where it had all started. Breakfast, hot showers, one shared room for a bit of rest - and then a slow, easy day of shopping, chatting, and squeezing out every last moment of Nepal’s charm.

Some of us treated ourselves to a massage (and honestly, it might have been the best one of my life!), while others wandered through the markets, collecting final souvenirs and tiny memories to take home.

And then came the hardest part - the goodbyes. Red scarves tied around our necks for safe travels, hugs all around, and a few teary smiles.

Kasia and I took our flight back through Dubai, with a long layover that turned into a much-needed nap, and finally landed in Kraków the next day.

Nepal was unforgettable - the dust, the mountains, the laughter, the roads, and all the incredible women who shared them.

But as they say… there’s no place like home. And golden autumn in Kraków isn’t a bad place to come back to.

[Agata]

Morning coffee came with a view. Then again, that Morning coffee came with a view. Then again, that seems to be a recurring theme on this trip.

We rejoined the ACT Greece track and continued with Day 3. The twisties were great, the off-road sections challenging, and Osmand provided its usual share of entertainment. A few missed turns due to a slowly refreshing map meant some extra manoeuvring, including backing the bikes down a steep climb that definitely wasn't part of the route.

Eventually we reached the end of Day 3 and immediately faced another challenge: fuel.

The first petrol station was closed. So was the second. And the third.

Sunday?

Luckily, the fourth one was open. Even better, it had a café next door, so naturally another coffee happened.

Then came Day 4.

The start was fantastic: flowing roads, smooth tarmac, and spectacular views. Soon enough, however, the off-road returned with gravel, rocks, puddles, stream crossings, and all the fun that comes with them.

Back on the tarmac, concentration was still required because the road occasionally had a habit of disappearing. Throughout the route we've seen plenty of evidence of landslides and flood damage, with washed-out sections appearing in some unexpected places.

As we entered the Agrafa Mountains, the fun continued. We even met a few fellow off-road riders, which was reassuring because most of the time it feels like we have the entire track to ourselves.

Fast gravel roads mixed with proper off-road sections carried us up to 1,700 metres above sea level before a long descent brought us to Lake Plastira.

And there, once again, we found a view with a room attached to it.

Life could be worse. 😉🏍️⛰️🇬🇷

We're back in the game. After all the changes of We're back in the game.

After all the changes of plan, stomach bugs, missing bolts, and "let's just have a holiday instead" moments, we finally decided to head for the starting point of ACT Greece and see how much of it we can actually ride.

We left Melesin Distillery in Leskovik after a fabulous breakfast. To be honest, neither of us was particularly hungry after the feast they had served the night before, but somehow they still managed to tempt us.

Dark clouds were gathering overhead, keeping the temperature pleasantly cool. After a sleepy border crossing, we rolled into Greece.

And here's something I never expected to say: Albanian roads seem to be in better condition than Greek ones. As for road design... let's just say that some of the roundabouts and junctions make "Belgian engineering" look perfectly logical. Greece has taken it to another level.

Most of the day we rode along the edge of a storm. The kind that, if it catches you at the wrong moment, might wash you straight off the road. We were lucky. Apart from a few drops of rain and several reminders that Greek tarmac becomes ridiculously slippery when wet, we made it safely to Nafpaktos.

We found what was probably the cheapest hotel in town, complete with the view over the beautiful Venetian harbour.

When we arrived, the town seemed almost deserted.

Then sunset came.

Suddenly the waterfront filled with people, the cafés and bars came alive, and we discovered that our room appeared to be located directly above one of the busiest terraces in town.

Not that we minded.

A seafood dinner, a complimentary carafe of wine (apparently we're still charming enough to earn free drinks), and an evening spent watching life unfold around the harbour made for a pretty perfect stop.

Tomorrow, the real adventure begins.

ACT Greece, here we come.
🏍️🇬🇷

One week on the road, and not a single post. Not b One week on the road, and not a single post. Not because nothing happened, but because our trip had plans of its own.

It started with ACT France. Then we decided the ride there would be too long and expensive. The Baltic States briefly entered the conversation. Then ACT Greece won.

We left Poland on Corpus Christi, a little late after Joris spent the previous night helping Finnish riders get their Husky 901 back on the road. After a long day of kilometres and unpredictable weather, we ended up in Novi Sad, Serbia, enjoying the hospitality of Bilja, Agata's former colleague, and her family.

The next day started even later thanks to long breakfasts and even longer conversations. Our goal was Leskovik in Albania, but we only made it as far as Camp Popoland near Niš.
What was supposed to be one night became three when Agata was hit by a nasty stomach bug. Luckily, the campsite turned out to be the perfect recovery ward: friendly owners, fresh bread delivered to the tent every morning, and even a local wedding one afternoon at the campsite restaurant. Not exactly the Serbian cultural experience we had planned, but certainly one we'll remember.

After two days of rest, we continued south. Then a massive downpour sent us into a casino hotel in Bitola, North Macedonia, where we discovered one small detail we had completely missed:
ACT Greece runs from south to north. Oops.

With Agata still not fully recovered, we abandoned the ACT plan and decided to simply enjoy a holiday instead.

Following the spectacular SH71 through Albania, we eventually reached Divjakë-Karavasta National Park. The campsite we wanted was closed, but a local restaurant let us pitch our tent in their backyard. Fresh fish, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, and a couple of relaxing days later, Agata was finally back to 100%.

Which leaves us with one question:
Should we try reaching Leskovik again?

PS. Have your travel plans ever gone completely off-script?
